My brother told me I could have half the proceeds if I can sell his Star Wars collection. He has the Darth Vader storage head, Ewok City, and about 100 little figure guys. Some are in decent shape, but most are "well loved," some with heads that got glued back on. I looked at ebay this morning and got discouraged. I found a place called forcecollectors.com that looks like it could be good. Does anyone know anything about this site? Or others like it? Thanks!

First of al you need to know the date of the pieces yopu have. For example the toys from the first Star Wars are worth alot more then the rest of the movies. There should be a date on the bottom of each figure.

Don't get ripped off. Check out E-bay and see what the current market price is going for. E-bay does control the secondary market value ,whether we like it or not.

Most likely someone may want the entire collection , but to get the most money you would have to sell individually, which will take more time, It really depends on what you are willing to do.

Go to a good Bookstore and go to the Hobbies section and look at a book. You can look up the prices yourself.

If you have some damaged pieces be sure to list them that way. Make a list of everything you have and condition Excellent, good, fair, poor.

May the Force be With You!!!
Before you sell.... know what you have!

I think Ebay is probably the better place. More traffic.

Clean the collection up. Use goo gone to remove excessive dirt or marker marks, but wash off with water since it can disfigure plastic if left on.

Sometimes putting it up as one auction does more than individual items, sometimes not. Getting them posted in a store with a set price may be safer than auctions.

Be warned. Star wars stuff, like star trek etc, won't usually get great bids. Most of the collectors are looking for the older and rarer items.

I'm sorry to say that the condition is the biggest factor when you are talking about value on these items. If they were in the package and not messed up in any way they could be worth something, but if they have been opened and played with then the value does suffer a lot. good luck.

Do the best to clean the figures as best as you can. www.yakface.com has some info on selling and cleaning your toys. Ebay is the best place to sell Star Wars toys since everyone looks there for them and it is a popular auctioning web site.

You could always try craigslist and put open to reasonable offers. This way atleast you could see what the collection is worth and you don't have to sell it if the collection isn't going to get much. You could always tell people that you need to think it over and if they are the best, then sell to them.

Maybe instead of selling you should share it first with other collectors. Check this collection - http://www.popgrotto.com/SidXionka/Star%20Wars%20Collectibles/Details
This site is new and pretty awesome.
