What features made the united nations stronger than the league of nations

Honestly, it is not so much that the UN is stronger, but that there is a more willingness of the members. Also the fact that there were limited members in the League of Nations plays a role. But when a crises broke out, countries were not exactly willing to "keep the peace". A good example is the Chinese Civil War. What makes the UN different, is 1) The amount of members, as in most of the world, and 2) The fact that countries are willing to sacrifice a little to help. Of course there may be more, and maybe even more powers, but technically, the UN does not have any power over anyone one out of the UN, just influence of those in it, and these members can leave whenever they wish.

The United Nations had the backing of the United States while the League did not. But the League of Nations had a kick *** name!

The ghost of the League of Nations standing as a warning for the UN,
The involvement of the United States of America,
The resolve that fought, and came from fighting, an effective war in Korea.

The threat of turning into an ineffective talking shop (leaving aside its undoubted humanitarian and educational aspects) remains a prospect. The failure of the league remains a spectre in the background.

The League of countries had the creation more beneficial of a trading club. The League of countries did not ward off The conflict . This replaced into no longer the point of The League. The U.N. replaced into outfitted for the point of forestalling genocide and unprovoked attacks on different countries like that in WW2. the conception replaced into to make conflict a lot less plausible even quit the agressor from attacking the different united states. The U.N. replaced into outfitted on the conception of retaining and helping Human Rights.
