Seriously who would want to pants that don't even fit them, and cry and write in a journal, emo is ruining everything. What ever happened to Ska-punks? The X-Games,baggy cargo-pants
Goldfinger,the green spiked hair etc.

How ignorant can you be? It sounds to me like you are part of the problem. LABELS are ruining everything.
Do you really mean to tell me that people who dress a certain way and listen to certain music are "ruining" everything?
You asked why anyone would want to wear pants that don't fit them...the same reason why your precious ska punks would wear BAGGY pants that don't fit them or dye their hair a color that's not real. THEY LIKE IT. Your statement was so hypocritical.
Writing in a journal happens to be a great way to relieve stress and ideas. Many people do it, not just "emo" people.
Open your eyes-the world isn't all labels. Open your heart and accept people.

The whole 'emo' scene today isn't even what emo really is. Emo is a genre of music [emotive hardcore] that died out in the 90s.

It's too bad that 'emo' kids think that they have to dress a certain way and hurt themselves in order to 'fit in.' They shouldn't worry about if it's emo or not, they should just be themselves and like the music that they like, whether it fits in with the trend or not.

well i honestly dont have much problems with emo music or emos in general. But what does annoy me is the fact that everything seems to be emo this ,or thats so emo, omg you wear dark clothes and look sad youre an emo. Its an overused word and most (NOT all) people, i think, forgot the real meaning to the word.
People at my school use it WAY too much.

Personally, I don't like them either, and some, if not many, are nothing but posers wanting to fit in. But hey, blame MTV and all this media for the crap they feed today's youth. I'm not stupid, I can see through their facade. Punks are still here, we won't ever go away. But I hate getting confused with these Hot Topic-shopping, Greenday listening wannabes. So I stopped dressing like one. Listen to these kids saying "But it's cool" What's cool about being a drone. Nothing. So if blowing your all money off crap is cool then you're going to do the same thing. Oh wait, that's already been happening. Lack of culture.

You pretty much answered your own question. Emo is a phase that some people fall into and can relate to. Once they hit college or a real job it will pass. Just like the japanese tatoos phase.

It is a style and habit of dress

emo kids are in no way unique.

same hair styles. same clothing style. same piercings. same hair styles.

basically, all of them look and act the same just because it's the cool new "emo" way to go.

it's ridiculous.

Now you must remember...emo kids are not GAY...they are all unique, with really cool hair. ;-) Where they go wrong is the faux angst and despair, it seems to be an unspoken rule of being emo that you can never exhibit any signs of happiness. That and the whole dudes wearing eye makeup hair color and girls pants doesn't really do much to dispell accusations of being gay
