I don't think you mean "superior" - dominant was
the right word.

If you are making a qualitative judgment, I think
the genders have always been sufficiently different
to make it hard to compare.

of the money in the bank, more women are graduating
from higher education than men, there are more of
them, and ...

If education doesn't turn around for men, the U.S. will
be a female dominated society within 20 years.

Although I strongly object to the way that our
education system discriminates against boys
(yes, far more so than girls), the idea of a female
dominated society has its merits.

There was a society in Africa around the same time as the pharohs in eqypt. There are also the amazon warriors that are women. Every society at one time or another probably has had one powerful woman that has influenced how things were run.

Not sure. Its usually a patriarchal society in most societies. Women have always been considered as the infererior gender. However there were women leaders, but still a society that's dominated by men.

Yes, I think some indian tribes were matriarchal. Tribes like the cherokees traced their family heritage through their mother.
Also the Minangkabau people of west sumatra, Mosuo people of southern china, and the Minicoy islanders.
