This happened to me and my Doctor gave me two options. The first was to be induced into full labor, and the second was to have a D+C, but no you will not be able to miscarriage a fetus the same way at 24 weeks the same way as you would say in eight weeks.

After 20 weeks gestation, it is no longer called a miscarriage, but a stillbirth if the baby is not born alive or a premature birth if the baby is born alive. When it happened to me, it was all the pain of a full term birth, contractions and all. I knew it was going to happen because I had problems throughout my entire pregnancy. If your baby is still moving, he is still alive. If you are at ALL concerned about the baby's movements you need to call your doctor right away. Lay down, drink plenty of water, and do a kick count for about an hour. If you don't feel any kicks in one hour then something might be wrong and you will need to call your doctor. Right now, with the heat the way it's been, it can be common not to feel the baby move as much. You may be dehydrated, and need to drink plenty of fluids. Eat frequently, and again, CALL your doctor!!

By the 6th month it isn't a miscarriage! It is called a still birth and no it wouldn't come out like a miscarriage! The baby is formed and if you do happen to have a still birth or a miscarriage, you need to get a uterin scrape. Also it is very painful. It feels like someone is trying to rip the insides out of you. Trust me I know.

This wouldn't be considered a miscarriage at this later stage in pregnancy but a still-birth. If the baby has died in the womb, then labour would be induced. If it is a spontaneous labour, then it would be considered a premature birth and the baby's birth and death would be recorded and you would name the baby, have a funeral, etc. Well, that is what happens here in Australia.
I'm hoping that you are asking this question out of curiosity and that it actually hasn't happened to you?

At 6 months your baby is fully formed, the lung are not totally developed but there is a chance that with the proper medical treatment, the baby has a chance to live. You will go through full labor and the baby will be small and need to have oxygen as soon as he/she is born but it can survive.

I had a friend go through this. She had to deliver the still born baby. She was then given the opportunity to hold her still born baby. She even had funeral services for her. I don't wish that on anyone.
