I buy American. My last 3 vehicles were a Saturn, a Jeep and now a Ford. I'm an SUV kinda gal.
All makes have their pros and cons. Buy a vehicle based on what you are looking for, safety records, vehicle life and so forth.
I just prefer American made vehicles. I had the Saturn and the Jeep each for about 5 years. I've had my Explorer for about a year now.
I might have gone back to Saturn but I didn't care for the VUE. I needed a truck with more power and space, hence the Explorer. Jeep lost me as a customer when they stopped making the Cherokee.

Hondas are the most reliable cars in the world.
American cars are made cheap and break down easily. They are not reliable.
In terms of practicality, size, speed, and power, they are the same.

Most Hondas are built in the US or at least the majority of labor for the vehicle took place in the US.
Go with reliability and low cost of maitaining; i. e. Honda

If your buying a car I would definitely buy a Honda. American cars do not hold their value and just plain suck...( I hate saying that but it is the truth).

Almost everyone makes good cars now. You just have to ask yourself if you want to spend your money bolstering a foreign economy or taking care of retired American autoworkers. As far as quality, just about any car can go 100,000 trouble free miles anymore.
