I too am pregnant and taking lovenox! I have a blood disorder called prothrombin mutation factor III. I clott really fast! I am worried about getting a clott while on lovenox! I take coumadin when I am not pregnant!! Can anyone let me know if you have been on coumadin then on lovenox due to pregnancy!! If so for a clotting disorder? Any clotts while on lovenox? Greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

Coumadin is not used in pregnancy because it can cause birth defects. On the other hand, Lovenox is completely safe, very effective ,and is used quite often. You have nothing to worry about. Have a safe and easy pregnancy ! Good luck !

Lovenox injections are just as effective as coumadin, don't worry.

are you serious?? you need a good discussion with your doctor. lovenox is used for the same purpose as coumadin-to prevent clot formation. if no one explained this to you, you need a new doc.
