Babysitting is the best job to have at that age. You also make alot of money.
Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!
Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbours that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.
Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash business with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, shovel drive ways in the winter, and help people clean there house that might need help.
If are 14 years or older, you could also work at fast food restaurants, or grocery stores too.

There are child labor laws so the only way you can get a (pay social security, type job) is to get a work permit for the state you live in.... but that age is 16 years old.
I put myself through college babysitting weekends and all summer long ~~~ I charged top dollar but I did extras like wash the dishes, bath the dog, (don't volunteer for anything you really hate like pick up dog poop or they will save a weeks worth of poop for you to pick up on a Sunday afternoon)
I love your attitude. Good Luck and God bless you.

You could sell things. Do you have any crafts or hobbies you are particularly fond of? If you like animals you could start walking friends/neighbors dogs. Or take care of them when they are out of town. I had to pick berries at your age.
Would not recommend that as a first choice. Do you like to mow lawns? Mobile home parks for Seniors often have a need for someone to mow the grass and other jobs they have trouble doing, like windows etc. Good Luck!

You could put up a notice at a senior center to see if there is anyone looking for someone to do some household chores that they are unable to do anymore. That way you are helping someone out and getting a job at the same time.

Beggers can't be choosers, mate. In this case, your age works against you, no matter how desperate you are for the cash. It'll come with time- and your skills will improve too. You could always do lawncare. Seriously, it's like, a nice workout and you can just relax, plug in your headphones and rake or whatever. Wicked nice.

At 14, nearly all jobs out there are crappy.
However, when I was that age, I got a job at a fast food place (crappy!), and it made me absolutely certain I was going to go to college.
The best advice I can think of is to network with people in your town. Most people know other people who know of a job that might be perfect for you!

Your school, parent and work will have to sign a legal form that you get from your school stating your grades are high enough and that you are allowed to work. Its a work permit.
Here in California..You have to be 16 to even be able to apply for the work permit.
You may want to try washing cars or moving yards for awhile

Try your local library. I think fast food places allow you to work at that age.

Other than working on a farm, those are pretty much your options.
