i just learned about popcorn cuasing cancer in people, but it was tested on rats, i have a question about this. Why in the world do pople test these poor animals that have done nothing to us ignorant humans, PRISONERS however have done things, such as rape, and murder, if they are on death row, and are planned to die, why not use THEM as a test subject, the spread of THAT kinda news would indeed scare others from raping and killing, because they don't wunna be deformed and tested on, so it's a perfect law that should be inforced instead of using our rude knowledge and testing it on Poor Animals.

you don't understand people! for one thing, there are TOO MUCH of uss around, and yes i think lower of people in prison than i do rats, in fact they are no better, prisoners are there for a CRIME and therefor must suffer, rats have done nuthing, it's most of our fualts that animals are becoming extint, so decreasing our population is a very high prioity.

there should be a program that people must go through to be completly cleansed of their drugs etc. and then again they should allow people to stay dirty, to see different results in the blood etc.

The scientific problem of using human prisoners, instead of rats, is one of "control". I don't mean controlling the prisoners or the rats, I mean controlling the variations within the experiments!

Rats are popular to use because they breed quickly, and we can control their genetic make-up (to a certain degree). When using lab rats, the animal's physical make-up, tolerances, strengths, genetics weaknesses, etc. are already known. They have been established through several hundred generations of litters. The scientist wishing to test a certain chemical, or family of chemicals, will take an entire litter (if not several litters) of rats, and expose SOME of them to the chemical, and some of the rats to nothing. The rats exposed to nothing unusual are the control group. The scientist can then note, quickly, if the chemical will have adverse affects on the exposed group. Since the rats only have a lifespan of about 3 years, and can be safely raised in a sterile environment, harm developed by the rat can be attributed to the chemical.

Human prisoners would make bad experiment animals. By the time a prisoner makes it to a lab, he has been exposed to numerous toxins in everyday life. His genetic makeup is unknown and untrustworthy; he may be genetically predisposed to cancer, or a former smoker/drinker/acid tripper, etc. Since a group of prisoners do not share a similiar genetic line, it is impossible to establish a control group. Plus, a human's life is MUCH longer than that of a rat.

The only way humans COULD be used as experimental animals, would be to raise them as rats, in an enclosed, sterile environment. You would be condemning the innocent human to a life you consider unfit for a rat!

Sorry, but this law would never work. It is impractical as well as immoral.

(You don't really want tens of millions of people to answer this, do you? ... didn't think so)

It would not be a deterrent. We already know that. (People don't think they're going to get caught -- that's why they do bad stuff; others do it on spur of the moment, and they wouldn't be deterred either, as they aren't thinking of the future.)

It's a disgusting, barbaric, inhuman proposal that violates the Constitution.

And it's less scientifically sound, as scientists can impose controls on the rats, but not on the humans -- practically speaking; that is, the prisoners will have all sorts of things, whether they grew up or lived in toxic environments, what meds and drugs and such they've done, that would mess up the data.

So, on all grounds, no. Not a sound proposal.

This means that you value a human prisoner's
life less than that of a rats?

Can you be more specific about what you find
equivalent? For instance, if I shoplift, is my
life worth more or less than a whale? A chimp?
A dog? A rat? A bacterium?

For better or for worse, our society values the lives
of even the nastiest criminal more than that of the
most sublime non-human.

Consider that we argue over the death penalty
and abortion while we routinely kill whales,
primates etc.

Yes, the world has too many people for the
available resources and technology - but that's
an argument for birth control, not experimenting
on people.

Scientists have already used prisoners for the purpose of testing new drugs. Once the public found out about it, it was outlawed. I do think it is legal to carry out experiments on prisoners in some states. But it must be done with the prisoner's consent.

First, i might choose to ask what a neo-Christian is. I certainly have in no way heard the term and that i'm curious as to be attentive to precisely what they suspect. i do no longer certainly be attentive to what your question is yet right this is my comments. The bible, besides the reality that the understand God, isn't necisarily all approximately what he needs us to do or what's nice. that's a background e book, explaining what has got here approximately. There are issues that got here with reference to the God would not let us know is nice, yet they did happen and hence they are portion of the bible to coach us how God can use human beings even by using this sin and use them for his will. particular verses in the bible will additionally be very circumstancial and hence we must be very careful to no longer take issues out of context. I certainly have in no way been informed I ought to settle for the bible without question. My father is a pastor/minister and he has continuously inspired be to question, study and study approximately each little thing. this isn't any longer using fact something is erroneous, yet especially circumstances our impressions or what we expect of is being mentioned is definitely no longer what's being mentioned. this is why that's continuously significant to hearken to different peoples comments and attitude the bible with an open concepts. i'm satisfied to be certain which you seem doing this. in my opinion, I certainly have discovered that once i in my opinion understand a factor of the bible, no areas will contradict one yet another. in case you ever have problem be attentive to-how a factor of the bible, ask somebody to help you. Pray to God to aid you spot the which potential of what you're analyzing. study the historic past and lifestyle that particular portion of the bible is desperate in and good success. p.s. One individual on right here wrote that one contradiction become the commmandment which you shall no longer kill, yet God kills amny human beings during the bible and helps others to do a similar. i might only choose to declare that the commandment isn't 'thou shall no longer kill' yet 'thou shall no longer homicide' which latest 2 very diverse regulations.

As sad as this may sound, they test on animals because if we tested on humans there would be a lot less of us around. While testing on animals, yes they might suffer ,but in the long run it is saving a lot of lives!!!
