A season with Verona . A English journalist living in Italy goes to both home and away fixtures with Verona football club for who hail from the north of Italy for one full season. It shows the ecstasy and hell of supporting a small sports team and the passion, that border lines on hooliganism at times, taht the fans show!! it also explains a lot about the north south divide as well as provincial raciial differences in Italy today.

Read about or read?
Are you asking what is the last book I looked up on Wikipedia or the last book I read?

Let's see. The last book I read was The English Assasin by Daniel Silva. The theme was the Swiss banking industry during WW2 and how they helped the Nazis loot millions of dollars in cash, gold and valuable art from the Jews. It was brilliant.

I seldom read about books. I read them and form my own opinions. C.

Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein

Takes place in the Future where a meritocratic society wages war against an race of Arthrpodic(bugs in lamens terms) for the survival of the species. Trust me, the book is much better.

Oryx and Crake - by Margaret Atwood - fantastic book about the end of the world as we know it - and one guys attempt to look back at his life and his struggle to make it in the aftermath. Filled with satire, delicious symbolism and Atwood's classic dark sense of humour.
