I personally really like it, but is it "too old" for nowadays?

Sunday's girl...thats where i did get it from...i love ABBA.....and she's my favorite....and i love the name...

Pretty. Old names are the new "new" names. Freida is the way I like it spelled.

I like it too, it reminds me of one of the girls from ABBA. I think it might be "too old" for today, though. Maybe consider it as a middle name or part of a first name.

It is a name that would get a child teased at school. I'm not saying that just because I don't like the name (which I don't) but because I am in school and even in 8th grade people still make fun of people's names. Kids can be mean.

When choosing a name for your child you should think of ways that they can possibly made fun of because of it. I agree with the person that said it reminds them of fritos. Would you like your daughter to be called Frida Lay?

I think of an older person I would use it as a middle name not a first but if you like it go with it

That was my mothers name and she gave it to my sister as well.My mom was o.k with it but my sister hates it and goes by her middle name and prays no one finds out. I'm not crazy about it but it is unique and old fashioned.Before naming a baby think about how it sounds in different sinarios.e.g. "would Dr.Frida ' Smith 'please come to the O.R.?" or "Welcome President Frida 'Smith.'.lol.........It is a great name and she will make you proud!!

Frida makes me think of fish because Frida the Fish was a stuffed animal puppet I played with as a child, so I don't take it seriously as a human name.

i think that Frida is too old fashioned. You could always try changing the speling tho and that would make it more original.

It makes me think of my mom's name Fedi, that used to be her first name (she reversed the order of her first and middle names officially when she was older because she always went by her middle name). She didn't really like it.
