A person who could kill your whole family, burn your house down and shoot your dog, and everybody would say "oh, but she's so pretty. just give her house arrest."

Are you referring to a specific incident? I can't imagine attractiveness being used as a defense.

Looks can be deceiving. If they do the crime they should do the time no matter what they look like. Pretty or not, tall or short. It shouldn't matter.
Check out this story about one of our local judges and what she did. It's just crazy!!! It made the national news.

No, but some can get away with lesser crimes like DWI's shoplifting, battery, trespassing etc like Jessica Alba, Anna Kournakova, etc
