Hi. Its always good to say your PC brand & specs for better answers.

Maybe you dont meet the required or minimum system requirements.

Your computer may not be able to handle the game. Sims 2 is a very demanding game, check to make sure your computer meets all the requirements.

yes the game's memory is very large. Which probably means that your comupter cannot handle it. So what you might need to do is get more memory for it. or an external hard drive to put it on (but i am not usre if that actually works, the external hard drive)

My computer barely can handle it. It goes incredibly slow after a couple of minutes into playing the game. And sometimes it boots me off of it.

First, make sure that all the system requirements are met. If so, check your disk space. Is there enough? If not, delete some unused progarams/files. If so, I would contact somebody at maxis.com or thesims.com or even talk to someone at gamefaqs.com.

You may not have enough megs that happened to me but i got a new computer

your computer might not be big anufe or you have run out of space or the program has a virus on it

Well, you must be using a Pentium II computer. If not, then I would uninstall it. Its not compatable for that computer
