I haven't tried the Target brand, but my son is happy and thriving on Sam's Club's version of Enfamil Lipil. In fact, when we decided to "treat him" to a week of the brand name, he was VERY unhappy.

The only difference is that the brand names have scientific departments that are constantly tinkering with the recipe. You're also helping those companies recoup the monetary losses they incur when they supply formula free or very, very cheap to low income families and hospitals.

Read the ingredients and compare the generic with the brand name. In many cases, the generic and the brand name are made by the same people.

My son drinks soy formula due to an allergy and we buy the parent's choice brand (Walmart.) He doesn't notice the difference from the Enfilac and it is way cheaper with all the the target brand.

I have not used it, but a good friend of mine does. She says she tried EVERYTHING and that is all her daughter would take!! I don't know who makes it so I can't help you there, but I'm confident it is perfectly fine:)
