Lesley Gore certainly deserves to be inducted! Her song You Don't Own Me, released December 1963 reached number 2 on the Billboard chart in February 1964. She was kept out of the number one spot by the Beatles. But she still held her own. Not an easy feat for a female singer with a feminist song at a time when male singers and the Beatles were dominating the charts. Lesley continued her string of hits in 1964 into 1965. I feel she is so deserving of a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Don't you feel she's deserving of this honor?

She shouldn't be judged on her personal life, just on her professional career. She had staying power when many of the artists of the 60s were wiped off the charts with the British Invasion.
