Why is diet and healthy food so expensive when America is so fat?

I can go to the grocery store and spend 30 bucks on unhealthy food and be set for a week or two. If I spend 30 on healthy food like fruits veggies and what not there's only enough for a few days.

That's why America is so fat. Americans have to spend so much money on everything else that they buy the crappy food becuase it's cheap, quick and tastes good.

This is b/c if everyone is fat more products and services are utilized. If people were fit,healthy, and happy with their appearance how would diet companies (books, pills, food programs, etc) fitness companies (health clubs and treadmill makers, etc) and doctors (plastic surgeons,cardiologists, etc) make their money???

i don't understand why people say that all the time. today: cabbage 33 cents a pound.
apples 5 lb @ $2.68. baby fresh carrots .99 lb. deluxe mixed nuts around $4.50 lb.all fresh-frozen veggies $1.00 lb. non sugar cereal $1.67 for 27 oz.

cheapest meat.. bologna $2.29 lb bacon $2.53 lb.
chicken $1.39 lb
lamb shoulder $6.09 lb. pepperoni $4.49 lb
can ya tell i was shopping today? point made, tho i should hope.
