in pre-school, kids dont always look forward to nap time. It seems that now in High School, all we want to do is sleep insted of doing our work.

I think they could... If a highschooler is feeling overloaded, a nap is like the ultimate refresher!

Starting later in the day makes more sense to me. Does anybody have any links to research, particularly peer-review research on the matter? I'm working on some educational gaming theory right now and some information on schools times and naps lend some interesting thoughts on the matter.

no. it does not improve grades but because pre-school kids tend to have more energy, they like to play more. and teenagers are more immature and older so they tend to get lazy and dont care about their health
