I think the command is F12 I want the command that puts the computer exactly the way I got it when I ordered it brand new thanks

formatting wipes your comp clean,but make sure you have a boot up disk to boot your comp when you format or you wont be able to load windows back on because the drivers for your CD ROM will be gone.
There are some good sites that show you step by step how to reformat, in search type format computer

Start>Accessories>System Tools> System Restore.

This usually allows you to restore the PC to a last known good configuration...it will pop up a calendar asking what date you would like to revert back to. Pick the last known good date.

simply reformatting will not get rid of everything. if you have sensitive info on your computer that has been deleted you need to run a dod (department of defense) wipe application. it will fill your hard drive with zeros. it will make 7 passes to make certain nothing is left.

after running one of these apps even people that make a living recovering data will not be able to undelete it
