The geiger Watches are a little too expensive and I don't want to buy a dosimeter. A battery operated digital Counter that I could buy at a store would be what I am looking for. Where can I get one?

Try Google. There are not so many vendors who sell the things, and you may have to order one from the States. Perhaps you will find a uranium deposit and make your fortune.

You might be able to find one through an industrial supply store or catalog. You can probably find one in a search online.

Edit: Take a look at this search page
