yes its normal and its cause the baby is taking up the space for your lungs right now and compacting them wait til you get kicked in one and it makes you make funny sounds its amusing when you look back on it but sucks in the mean time but have no fear it will get better when the baby drops down at about 8 months

Yes. During 2 of my pregnancies, I had such difficulty breathing, that I had to sleep with several pillows--I was practically sitting up. Lying down was impossible during the last couple of months.
Like any overweight person, a pregnant person is carrying around a whole bunch of extra weight--and where the weight is would be why the breathing can get difficult.

Yes, How far along are you? Does your chest get tight and feel heavy too? Mine does. It started in about my 3rd month. First time it happened I freaked out and rushed to the Doctor . She did tons of test from blood pressure and ekgs. Everything was normal. She said sometimes all the new pregnancy hormones can cause you to have trouble breathing. As long it has nothing to do with your blood pressure you should be ok. But mention it to your doctor next visit.

That would be your lovely baby's fault. As she or he grows they take up more and more room, causing your organs to be squished together and pressing on each other. These include lungs and diaphram, both of which you use to breath. When baby drops (around 32 or so weeks for most) you will experience relief from this.

Oh yes...I had this REALLY bad when I was about 20 weeks. It can be from several things: in the last trimester, you simply run out of room in your abdominal cavity for all your "goodies", making it hard for your diaphragm to get down low enough to bring in enough air.
In my case, it was my body's response to two things: your blood volume increases a lot but your red blood cell count doesn't increase proportionally, meaning you need more oxygen to reach those same blood cells (meaning you gotta breathe more!). Also, the increase in blood volume means you have to breathe more just to get the blood circulated in the same amount of time. Some women also find themselves out of breath from the sheer fatigue of BEING pregnant.
I'm out of breath just explaining it.

Yes it is....baby pressing on your diaphragm in later stages of pregnancy....and if you gain too much weight that is another reason you may be out of breath...Good Luck!

yes, this is very normal and is caused by several things. your heart and therefore your lungs have to work harder to support the growing baby and of course as the baby gets bigger he/she starts growing up into your diaphragm.

the muscle that helps you breath is called the diaphragm. it is not allowed to work as it should limiting your inspirations leaving you feeling like you can't catch your breath

It is normal as the baby grows it takes up more room, pushing everything up. And as it gets more squished less room. And your lungs get squished too.

The baby is in your rib cage, laying on your lungs. It usually gets easier the closer you get to your due date, when the baby is supposed to drop farther into your pelvis.
