About a word...?

Question

Bear in mind I have no desire to offend but I feel curious, why do blacks use the word ******?
Isn't it a derogatory term which if used by someone who isn't black is offensive?
Guess the question is, is it alright for people to use such a word and be the only ones allowed to use it?

I dont understand it either Thomas.
I guess its like a mother/father saying, "I know my kids are misbehaved but I dont want anyone else to say it"...
That one particular word has caused people to get hurt and killed....
