Arizona....specifically, YUMA, ARIZONA:"100 miles from nowhere and 5 feet from hell".
I was stationed there as a Marine for 5 years. It rained 6 times. 99% sunshine, and is the "Sunniest place in the USA".
We were so happy when it rained, we went outside and danced in it...uniform and all. I moved to Cleveland, saw snow, and cried tears of joy!

Do you mean "most sunlight" as in the most sunny days in a year? I'd guess the desert southwest, namely New Mexico and Arizona.
Or do you mean "most sunlight" as in the longest days pretty much year-round? I'd go with the state closest to the equator (Hawaii).

Well Florida is called "The Sunshine State" but Florida also has the most lightning strikes. But the closer one gets to the equator, the more daylight hours.

I would say the southernmost ones because they are closer to the equator and less is deflected because of the earths curvature there as well. The most sunny state would therefore be Hawaii

it is really impossible to know, scientists can estimate, but it would change every year because the ammount of rain fall and cloud change each year, really, the reason that u can't find it is because the scientists really don't care, it is impossible to find, and why do you really need to know?
