I have a job interview tomorrow. It's not for a glamorous job or anything but I'd still like to look nice. I was thinking of wearing a black semi dressy shirt, black dress pants, and black dress shoes. Will this be okay for an interview or will I look too depressing to hire? (the clothes are all dressy, they dont look depressing or goth or anything). If this isnt a good choice, what colors should i wear and what colors should i avoid?

They say Navy Blue is a good colour to wear, because it represents loyalty - I've always worn it and have never lost a job proposal from an interview. Good Luck

It's not horrible, but if given the option, I'd add in some color. Do you have accessories that could liven up the black? Maybe a scarf, or a necklace that would add color? Even a sweater (perhaps just to carry with you) might help to add some brightness to your overall image.

In my opinion, all black is very formal in appearance. As you are interviewing for a not-so-glam job, I would suggest adding a little color to your outfit, perhaps close to your face so that when the interviewers looks at you they see a little break in the solid color. The idea that comes to mind is a pin.

yeah sure why not?? As long as you're dressed nice! Think before u walk out of the door, "would I hire me dressing like this?"

I would wear a different shirt with that, what about a nice crisp white shirt?

Sounds fine to me. Black isn't always "goth" and depressing you know-those are stereotypes. it is also sophisticated and formal.
