Okay, you just asked a question and you said "last year in 6th grade..." so you are in 7th grade, you are not even a teenager yet, so where do you get off saying that most teens sit at home on there butts living off of the government? Also you have just gotten past the "boys have cooties" stage so I am going to take a chance and assume that you have never been in the situation where you were tempted to have sex. Which is a good thing, but, I know you say you did not want to be offensive but because you are criticizing people that you are not even in the same age group with, and a situation that you haven't been faced with yet. I think you need to stop judging others. And wait until you get in that situation, look back and remember this question and see if you still feel the same way. : ) Also, I am very confused as to what this had to do with you're living off the government statement? Do you have a job?

If you ask anyone in a loving relationship, they'll explain that sex is more than just a way to achieve pleasure. Honestly, can love live off masturbation alone? To me that's like purchasing your dream car, but having someone else drive it instead of yourself!
Personally, I think you assumption is unrealistic. If one is using the proper protection, why should they be dammed from having sex?
There are many people over the age of 21 along with people who are married who are not ready to have children, nor want children. Should they also not partake in sexual intercourse for the chance of conception? I don't ever want to experience a car accident, does that mean I should never drive?
In regards people "living off the government", that's a part of all walks of life. To be serious, there are many government officials who live off of us!
It's very easy to point fingers, and talk about what we really don't know, when really we should keep quiet and try to learn!

Some of my views are like yours...
â¥I really dont know why people who are not ready for kids would have sex, I really dont know why people do not use protection, and I dont know why their parents are not making sure they dont!!!
â¥When they do want "pleasure" than I have an opposite view than you...I myself am a teen and I am a virgin but if I did want "pleasure" I could just go find a guy to do it for me!!!
â¥When it comes to waiting til you are 21...I somewhat agree but some 21 year olds are still not mature enough to have unprotected sex and end up with kids...but some people are mature and get married when they are 19!!!
â¥Some teenage mothers do end up being excellent mothers and take care of their children but I do know many who cannot and the children either get given up or do not get the care they need!!!
•MY ADVICE: is not to not have sex if you trully want to but use protection when you do and make sure you know the consequinces and are ready for them!

Young people aren't learning the moral standards of obstaining from sex that the older generations grew up with. Years ago, parents taught their teens sex was for marriage and you would disgrace your family if you got pregnant beforehand. Now, instead of telling your teen to not have sex, parents go get their daughter BCP, buy condoms for their sons and educate them on safe sex because mom and dad just know their teen is going to have sex anyway, they might as well be prepared. Secondly, the media has really bombarded teens and young people with A LOT of sexual stuff and it has greatly influenced teens into casual and premarital sex. And there is peer pressure to do it, BF pressuring their GF (maybe vice-versa) to give them sex or they will find someone else. Funny, I don't think any of them are really thinking in terms of the consequences of pregnancy or STD, or the fact that they are too young and immature to handle the seriousness of a sexual relationship. Good question.

I'm a teen and a virgin, but I can tell you this for sure - we are run by hormones for at least 3 days per month. A lot of guys just jack off and stuff, but if two teens are horny at the same time in the same place, stuff happens. Curiosity can be pretty dang strong, and if touching yourself feels good, you assume it can only get better if someone's helping you. Also, some use condoms and things but don't know how to use them right or are just so fertile that the chances increase.

"I mean, a lot of these teens just sit on their butts all day and live off of the government which WE are paying for"
Yet another uneducated adult...Most states will NOT allow anyone under 18 years of age to be on Welfare or Section 8 and some states will not even allow you to get food stamps until your 21.
My cousin is 16 and pregnant and is 12 weeks along, both Welfare and Section 8 rejected her because she is under 18, the only place she can get help from is WIC so before you go ASSUMING loads of teen moms are living off the government I suggest you educate yourself.

I am a teen, and i don't take offense to that. I'm in no rush to have sex, since you are talking about pregnancy, I guess this is geared toward the girls mostly. The boys don't have to worry about dropping out of school b/c they got some girl pregnant because they "aint the daddy" It comes down a lot to peer pressure. I mean the best way to be popular with all the guys would be to have sex wit all of them. but then, they don't realize that once they do, that's all they are to boys- sex. Easy. Girls are always talkin about what them and their bf's did over the weekend. It's mostly trying to fit in. Like "everyone else" is doing it, so why shouldn't you. but really, half the girls are lying, and it's foolish. Not all teens are like that though. most of my friends have sense enough to know the consequences of those kinds of things

I'm 20 and I'm still a virgin. I totally agree that waiting is the best thing to do. I think teenagers just rush into it because everyone else does it during those years and they're too inexperienced and irresponsible to actually do it in a mature way. They are too young to even understand the emotional aspect of intercourse and that's why it gets awkward after they do it. I'm proud of my decision as an individual.

Because some people don't think about the consequences of their actions until after the fact. They're immature, irresponsible people with raging hormones... which is what most teens are. Some grow out of it, some never do.
It burns me when I think about all the women out there who are baby factories... regardless of age... who continue to pop out kid after kid and then refuse to support them.
God bless all the single mothers (and fathers) out there who step up to the plate, own their mistakes, and take responsibility for bringing a little life into the world. I only wish we heard more about them and less about the deadbeats.

I generally agree with your views. Except for one thing. Marriage doesn't cure everything. There are plenty of married people on welfare, government assistance, etc. So waiting until you're married isn't always the right answer either.
