I am guessing it still means negative, but why did it show up so lightly? I can barely see the negatvie...the window that shows if the test is working is 5 times darker than the negative result??? i havent had a period since jan...

I would get one more test. Sounds like it may have a issue.
Try a different brand. And if that one shows a good negative i would call the first test question line and report they have a problem with the batch. * For other peoples sake.*
Good luck hun.

There should be a control line which tells you the test worked and no line at all in the other if you are not pregnant. If you had a line in the other whether it's faint or not you are probably pregnant, go and see a doctor to have a blood test done that will confirm one way or the other. Good luck

The control line is always going to be dark but if a second line showed up, that would be a positive even if it was faint. take another one in 2 days and the line may be a little darker or just go straight into the doctors

To my knowledge you can't have a "faint negative" most tests have a control line (if it is the only one that shows up it means that you aren't pregnant (or you don't have enough hgc in your urine for it to pick up on)). Now you can have a faint positive. Thats where the control line shows up and another line (where the "pregnant" line would be) shows up faintly. If the "pregnant" line shows up faintly, you are pregnant, the test cannot detect HGC that is not there. Now, if the faint line was the control line I suggest taking another test because this one would be invalid.

I would wait a couple of days and take another test. Just to be on the safe side. If you are at all worried...go to the doctor adn have a blood test. That is the most accurate way to find out. Good Luck

Happened to me yesterday when I took a test. I went to the doc today and found out I was pregnant. My last period was end of JAN. Re-test or go to the doc.

Usually when you can see something no matter how faint it means you are pregnant. Take another test in a couple of days or see your dr. Good luck!

You either are pregnant, or you were pregnant for a little while. There are no false positives, only false negatives.
