The Discovery Channel recently had a series about climbing Mt. Everest. One climber (who didn't make it) mentioned that he would be back next year and even if he didn't make it it was the best $50,000 he ever spent.

You'd have to get a trekking pass when your out there.

In 2003 it was around $2000 for a ten day pass.

what are you looking to do? just hit base camp or go all the way?
