Isnt it sexist?

Because the only kind of acceptable sexual discrimination exists against men. Women like to argue that since everything else is "male" by default, then they should always get their own special little club where they can hang a "No Boyz Allowed" sign and feel all superior. You'll often hear the common fallacy that since men have been historically so important, women should be given more privileges NOW to make up for this Karmic deficit.

Never mind that it makes no sense. Never mind that women are not only considered "equal" under the law, but more important. Never mind that history textbooks have been re-written for more "inclusion." It's always more, more, more.

And that, my friend, is why men aren't allowed something as simple as their own space. Frankly, I'm surprised that Yahoo lets men post in this category.

I would recommend that you go to the message boards and post in the "Ideas and Suggestions" forum asking for it. The more people who ask, the harder we'll be to ignore.

It's not really sexist, it's just women have worked so hard to claim equal rights. Judging by the comments some of the questions in women's studies get- apparently no one realizes women haven't even had the vote a whole hundred years. They've only been sort of considered "equal" for the past thirry years. There's been and is a very real struggle for recognition. That's why we get our own studies section- for that very reason and for that very subject. Exactly what would be in "men's studies"? Men in history? Try the history section. Typical man subjects like sports? Try the sprorts section. Politics? The politics section. Find something to discuss in men's studies that doesn't fit better in another section and you can have your brand new category.

Then again, if you had your own section maybe it would glean all the misogynists from women's studies.

There is a men's studies. In most schools it's called history. When they totally integrate the experience of both halves of the human race we will no longer need a specific Women's Studies.

No. Not really. Most of history is Men's Studies. Out of all of the wars and historical events to ever happen, generally the acts of men are the only events that were documented. Women were left out of much of history.

dont even bring that up. im a guy. and if you whine and complain about something then you are stooping to a level of a feminist playing victim. and by pointing out that there is no mens studies then it shows that you are making a dinstinction between men and women which would make the "equality" theory collapse on itself. by complaining you sound exactly like a feminist.

Smartblonde you're not really smart. Women's Study is to study women's behavious, etc.. not to study history. If you want to study history, I believe there is a section for this.
