Wow, I can't believe these answers! Batman is nothing more than a 1950's MacGuyver!
Superman is the true original superhero!
He can fly, and see through things, which neither Batman or Spiderman can do.
He is ONLY susceptible to kryptonite, and Batman & Spiderman just need a little car accident to do them in!
Superman is CLEARLY the better hero!!!

judging by looking at the responses the "asker" is a batman fan i like them all but if i had to chose one i would have to say spiderman. sure batman has cool toys, that he BOUGHT. spiderman handcrafts his own gadgets, costume, and webbing (not to mention at this time he was in high school). batman is an awesome detective but spidey is a borderline genius. plus all the extra stuff, spider sense, clinging to walls, ability to lift up to two tons. but i think the true testament are the villains. joker, bane, and the likes of killer croc are all bad asses but don't hold a candle to doc oc, the green goblin, or umm VENOM AND CARNAGE? batman struggles with people who don't have powers what is he going to do with someone who can convert his arm into a battle axe or who has six arms for that matter? i left superman out of the debate. his powers are insane but he is crippled by a rock and it seems everyone and their mom can get ahold of kryptonite. also his secret identity consists of putting on reading glasses and his enemies are pretty boring compared to the other two.

This question would be better answered based upon some criteria. It should also be noted that two separate comic worlds are being compared...DC compared with Marvel.
This question really shouldn't be asked. All of them perform a function. All of them have strengths and weaknesses. All of them are written to perform.
Proof:
Superman started with the strength of 10 men, no flight ability, and kryptonite didn't hurt him. Today, he not only has unimaginable strength, but he also flies and is vulnerable to kryptonite.
Batman started out a millionaire. He was a skilled, but crude street fighter. He didn't have that many gadgets. Today he is a billionaire. He knows nearly every fighting technique every conceived. He has more gadgets than his utility belt will actually hold.
Spider-man started out a kid. He has changed very little except for his powers. Spider-man's strength is determined by what is convenient to the writers. There is no real consistency there. Spider-man is otherwise a normal guy trying to deal with not being normal anymore. In a way, that makes him a different type of hero.
In then end, they all make choices. They all take some risks. They all entertain. It might be a better question if the laws of physics held from one story to the next or if there were some consistency in the character's abilities. But I suppose we are suspending belief anyway.

Spider-Man by far!!!
Batman is not a superhero. He is a kung-fu billionaire whose power is derived from technology. Case in point: he needs a sidekick.
Superman is TOO powerful to be realistic. And his disguise sucks. He has way too many powers, all of which are insane (x-ray vision, laser eyes, flying, super strength)... and yet, he can be brought down by a rock. Kryptonite can cripple him easily. Which is he, really powerful or really weak?
And then there's Spider-Man, the geek turned hero. Peter Parker combines Batman's intelligence and technology (he invented the web-blaster in the comic) with Superman's power (he is supernaturally strong, agile, and... sticky).
Plus, the "great power/great responsibility" motto explains everything a hero needs to know.

i'd have to go with superman as spiderman is a mutant and batman is a schizo. But i'd definitely class batman the best of the lot as he has more depth of character and is able to work out how to beat anyone he's a freakin genie-****!!!!

I would say Batman. First, he is a human being, not from another world and also not a human mutant like Spiderman. Also, he made the character himself and does not have special powers because of any birth origin or infection.
