I am teaching a 7th grade class at school for reading/english and I am aware that they are studying the revolutionary war in social studies. I wanna read a book with them about the revolutionary war but what should I read with them. dont forget these kids are 7th graders and I need a book they would enjoy and would be good for them to read and answer questions about the reading

Johnny Tremane (sp?) was enjoyable..it's about the events leading to the rebellion and boston tea party. It would be good for 7th graders.

First of all, if you are really teaching English, you don't use words like "wanna." Very tacky.

Here are a few really good books that I read in middle school and loved: Paul Revere; Messenger for Freedom by Heather Lehr Wagner, Just Jane by William Lavender, Shot Heard 'Round the World by Jeanne Munn Bracken, and Yankee Doodle and the Redcoats by Susan Provost Beller.

Johnny Tremain was good too.
