When my cat comes on my lap, he never wears out his welcome, his visits are usually short. Also he does not like totally lay his head down on me, his head is always up. Last night after 17 years, he comes up on me, lays totally flat for hours! It was soo uncomfortable after a while, but so rare for him, I loved it and put up with it, I could hardly sleep. Do you sacrifice your own comfort for you pet???

Yes. I once had this cat I loved more than anything. One day I was getting ready to leave for work, and running late. I went to grab my jacket that was on my bed. He was curled up on it asleep, and looked so cute and comfortable that I couldn't disturb him. So I left the house without the jacket. It was raining too!

ha ha ha that is so true. My cat rarely comes up and lays near me as well but when she does i will get cramp because i am so uncomfortable but i don't dare move as i love it when SHE decides it time for some loving.
My husband does it as well. She will come lie on his side of the bed and she is not a small cat & take up all his room until he is pushed up against the corner.

My cat likes to sleep laying across my neck, and I usually let her. But lately I haven't been sleeping because we got a new puppy and I have to take her out every two hours.

Absolutely. My huge, 100lb Flat Coat Retriever makes me share the couch with him, so i have to lie in a fetal position.

Yes, I am allergic to my cat,

but I just make sure that I take allergy medication daily and bathe him weekly. I wouldn't change anything about it.

I've sacrificed a warm car ride for my Retriever who thinks the back of our SUV is his dog house, I love my baby!

I don't have a pet. I used to as a kid and yes I did sacrafice a lot for him. ..but as you said I loved him so I put up with it :)
