Yes, however with the live rock you may be crowding for space as your fish gets older.
I've had a 5 with 1 clown and an anemone. Nothing else, no rock etc. I had to finally move him to the big tank.
Since you have your larger salt tank established, I don't see a problem until her out grows the tank. Then you can put something else into it!

Why would you want such a small saltwater tank? Maintenance is going to be a nightmare. Does it have to be saltwater? This would be a great home for a betta. Fresh water of course. You could put one baby 1 inch clownfish in there for maybe six months. One adult clownfish needs 20 gallons of water.

I ran a 2.5 once but the only thing i had in there was some live rock a cleaner shrimp and a red linkia starfish....If you want to do fish i would highly suggest something bigger MUCH bigger....also I would suggest a different light because you tiny little bulb wont be powerful enough for the live rock or anything else you put in there

It WILL be a challenge, but not impossible. I kept a pair in a 10 gallon tank for a month (as a quarantine). But they were in a room with the temperature cranked up so the ROOM was heater for the tank and there was little temp. fluctuation. You're still going to have a lots of water chemistry monitoring and water changes to look forward to.
I've personally kept as small as 2.5 gallon saltwater, but prefer 29 gallon or bigger - easier maintenance!

Sorry you sould never have anything under a 50 gallon tank for salt water. It can not maintain enough healthy bacteria to keep the fish healthy and a salt water fish grow to fast to be in such a small tank

it is not a good idea to put saltwater fish into anything smaller then a 50 gallon. then you can't put many. they need alot of filtration-i would not do it
