Okay, so, I'm deeply in love with my best friend. and she feels the same way. There's nothing more that I want than to hold her close to me, and kiss her forehead. But.. my entire life, my mother has told me that it's 'wrong' to be gay, and that it's just as much of a sin as prostituting. but.. how? how is loving someone that just happends to be the same gender, at all like selling yourself to some random sex-aholics? Is it really wrong to be anything but straight? Or.. am I just supposed to deny my love for her, and marry some guy that respects, and maybe loves me, and not tell anyone that I'm gay, to please my parents? I need opinions.
At first, I felt like I wouldn't be able to live with myself, if I was gay. but I don't think I can live withought her.

Bless you, Jenny.

Just for today, do not worry.

God doesn't make mistakes.

You can allow your mother to be herself, doing the best she can with the information she has--and you can allow yourself to be YOU, following your heart.

Love is always the path to take. It is God's Way.

I believe that it doesn't matter who you love, just that you love.

I also have faith that God makes every 10th baby gay on purpose. It can be difficult to live in a culture that is not only intolerant of homosexuals, but abusive. It can be challenging to live with serenity in the face of harassment, gay-bashing and hate crimes.

And yet, what better way to develop faith, trust, patience, tolerance, compassion and love for all of God's children, including yourself!

I wish you peace.

P.S. - I also recommend "doing The Work" (The Work of Byron Katie) by going to http://www.thework.com and clicking on some links there. Perhaps you could download a worksheet and then phone someone on "the hotline" to facilitate it.

I used to feel the same way. I was 16, and had a major crush on one of my schoolmates back in the day. The first year I was attracted to her--a lot--but I kept denying this somehow. The second year, I fell head over heels for her. The closest thing to love I've ever felt in my life. It may have even been love, but I was 16, so I'm playing Devil's advocate here and saying that it was border-line love.

Anyway, no. Once I admitted to myself that I was bi, I felt worlds better. I was also raised Christian, and now, it doesn't phase me one bit.

Love her. Ask her out, and see where it goes from there. Don't deny your feelings for her, or you'll regret it as long as you live.

Being gay is only wrong to a small group of ignorant, hateful people that are perverting their holy text to justify their hate. There is no christian agreement on whether or not homoesxuality is right or wrong. Also, christians don't have the patent on what is moral and what is not. In many faiths, including my own, homosexuality is certainly not wrong. If anything my faith embraces same-sex relationships as part of nature's wonderful diversity. Just be true to yourself and be a positive force in the world.

Dude, you certainly ought to reevaluate your self. I advise you went as far as telling us how huge his **** may well be. right this is the element in case you experience harm once you tell him which you rather choose to kiss him, whether it become a shaggy dog tale, i do no longer think of you spot him as purely a pal anymore.

It's not wrong to be gay. Your parents are wrong to have made you think so badly of yourself.

Your goal is to live a life that will bring you happiness, not one where you should sacrifice who you are to please your narrow minded parents.
