Secondly, do you suspect your doctors are ripping you off? I think the "professionals" have been given a license to steal. What do you think?

My sympathies, but if lawyer were listed as synonymous with parasite, the publisher would be sued.
Your doctor probably really thinks he is doing a great job and should be well paid to do it. His opinion of course.
Thanks to the lawyers, The cost of malpractice insurance is so high it pushes up the cost of practicing medicine.
When doctors get it right, they will quit calling it "practicing medicine".

I believe that doctors do a great job for people who know a profession back and forth and a second guessed by other people all the time. For example, how would you feel if you were an architect and people kept telling you, every day, that they didn't think you were building that building the way you should?

I've worked in the legal field for over 25 years. I think you are way off base!

We are professionals and have spent thousands of dollars in education to get where we are. Don't be so bold as to say we are all the same.

Because you obviously missed the day in first grade where it was explained that the letter "L" is distinct from the letter "P."

My question to you is:
Should people be able to promote stereotypes against a group without providing any basis or supporting evidence?

The same reason doctor and plumber are not.

As far as doctors overcharging, if you do the research, you'll find that many (if not most) people think they are. Same with plumbers, for that matter.

Lawyers are professions. They have gone to graduate school, earned a doctorate, and passed several difficult tests to get their license.

And there is absolutely nothing that says you have to do business with them. Just like there's nothing that says you have to do business with doctors or plumbers. You are completely free to not pay them, and do it yourself.

Yup - everyone hates the lawyers, hates the doctor - until they want to sue their neighbor over something assinine or they get sick.

Personally, I am not all that fond of the people who spritz me with perfume in the department store.......let's lynch em
