All good schools in Pennsylvania will be good for social studies. You can look through the rankings at US News to find them.

The following are among the good schools in the state:

University of Pennsylvania
Swarthmore
Haverford College
Bucknell
Lehigh
Penn State
University of Pittsburgh
Villanova
Bryn Mawr

There are others -- PA is a good state for colleges. Someone mentioned William & Mary. It is a great school -- but it is in Virginia.
