I ask this because the majority of straight guys usually want to talk about thier work, sports and women.

If your gay do you usually hang out with more straight or gay folks?

We have a LOT more in common than most straight males would like to admit, not the least of which are the same types of bodies and body/health issues.

Two gay guys used to live next door to me. One was a school teacher and the other an out of work computer programmer. These guys did not act like the majority of gay guys I have known that I also knew they were gay. But then I think these two guys were really straight guys that both got really messed up by their ex-wives. Some women can really mess up a man.

Most other gay guys I have known generally seemed to get along better with women rather than straight guys. I find it rather odd that so many straight women are so attracted to gay men.

look just because someone is gay does not mean that they won't have a lot in common with someone who is straight. It depends on the people together. Each having their own set of characteristics that are similar to eachother regardless of sexual preferance. What you're asking is the equivalent to asking if I have anything in common with a black person (I'm caucasion btw). It's all about personality and whether two people mix together well enough to get along. You think that because someone is gay that he does not like to talk about work sports or women? Come on...open up your mind a little.

First 0f all all men have the xy chromosome regardless of sexual orientation..Most males have a more robust build then women this includes gay males. In our evolution our male ancestors were primarily hunters and warriors and this includes gay men also. This probably still would be the same today.Males because their larger frames are more capable of fighting (predisposed). This makes males interested in feats of strength like in sports or war regardless of sexual orientation. In this question I see heterosexuals being stereotyped as well as gay men. I am gay but I don't discriminate between who I have as friends. To para phase Martin Luther King Jr .A man should not be judged by his sexual orientation but only by the strength of his character.

As it happens, I spend far more time with straight people than I do with gay people. Their sexuality is incidental and not a prerequisite.

well. i am straight, and i think the main difference is that gay guys get more sex, because they don't have to convince a woman to have sex with them. Guys are much more casual about sex and don't place great emotional meaning into it, regardless of orientation.

I think gay guys have more in common with moody/emotional girls.

Although I have quite a few friends that happen to be gay and I love them to death, they do tend to be more needy and have more "drama" in their lives than the average guy.

I am not gay.So I think gay men don't have alto of common with straight men because gay men would always be talking about themself not about girls or which kind of person they met any day. straight men would talk about which girl they met and how they felt with them.
