well first u should right all the lyrics and then mess around on whatever instrument u play and sing it at the same time. eventually u'll see what goes in it, and later u can see were there's all instrumental or solos are. if u got a band, just mess around with beats that collaberate.

just let out ur feelings into ur writing put all the gud ideas on paper n git it proof read by a trustworthy frend or sum1 that actually knows sumthing bout music. try playing it 4 sum1 n git their opinion. music is lyk poetry u can make it rhyme n u git mor of an audience.try experimenting with beets n rythms also

If the song is wrong, I rewrite it.
Take the notes and write them down. Have someone who knows meter and notes help you, if you don't know how to write music, until you figure it out.
Take songs you know, and practice writing them without looking at the sheet music.
:) You'll get it in time. 4/4, 3/4, half time or whatever-- little joke.

First you have to get rid of the "wrong" one (spellcheck, please). OK, seriously I don't know how to read or write music either but I made up my own way so I can read it. I get blank music sheets and I put the notes and beats on there well enough so I can replicate it. No one else would be able to "read" it but who cares? It's just for me, anyway.
