It seems like different states have "spring break" at different times. I want to go on vacation the week of April 8th but I don't want to go anywhere that will have a bunch of partying college kids.

Hi - The college kids are pretty well gone. A lot of folks from Mexico come in for Easter Week - there isn't that "free-for-all" that you get with Spring Break. It is a great place to relax.

I went the first week in April 2006, and all the college spring breaks were done. It should be very peacefull during the week you mentioned. Most college's have spring break early to mid March. Hope this helps.

Texas' spring break is the week of March 11-17. so probablly not. It is a beautiful island I have been there several times.But, I'd reccomend Galveston island( that is still in Texas).

Hello! I have no clue about South Padre Island but I had to tell you that your response to the "why do republicans refuse to debate and answer with zzzzzzzz" question was FLIPPIN HILARIOUS. My husband and I were literally wiping the tears off of our faces....thank you! Truly.

Not a lot of spring breakers but there is a lot of people from Mexico-Holy Week- they are not necessarily as partying at spring-breakers but they don't pick up there trash very well.
