Depending on just how bad the "0" commute is, I would say #4. Although, I am from Chicago and it is normal to spend and hour or hour and a half each way for work, which I know is not normal in smaller towns. Here, crappy commutes are the norm and we bond together over them.
If it really is that bad, I would go for #2 if the pay still allows you (and your family if applicable) to make it. I have found that great pay is not always worth having to work with miserable people.
