two weeks would be fine..i had one done in the hospital..just a urine one and my period wasnt due for another week and it came up a light positive..good luck ..

well the farther along you are in your pregnancy the mor ehormone there is in your system and the better chance of getting a positive test if you are pregnant. however, most tests will be able to give you an accurate result at one day late with some even 5 days before your are expected to start your period

Its ok to test on the day of a late period, testing sooner will give you a false negative in a lot of cases. 1-2 weeks late is plenty of time to produce the HCG needed in a hpt.

I had a some blood work/ urine test done the saturday before my period was supposed to come and my dr called me that following friday to tell me i was pregnant and asked if it was in the urine test or the blood and she said both.

It is best to wait until you have missed your period..however there are tests on the market that you can use 5 days before a missed period....Keep in mind though, that alot of people get false negatives due to not having enough hcg in their system yet....Also using first morning urine is best as it is most concentrated...Good Luck!

If you have missed your period. Then get a pregnancy test done not a blood test.

Now they have those pregnancy test that you can test week before your period. So you should try that.

If you know exactly when you get your period and if you don't that day or two days later then that means you're pregnant.
