i hope its not as a result of anti-semitism but sometimes think it is i think people should listen to both sides before coming to conclusions theres to sites i would like you to look at impartially before attacking anything they are both short so it wont take long first some jewish thoughts on isreal
http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=07/02/09/1614244
then a report from isreal
http://www.btselem.org/english/Human_Shields/20070225_Human_Shields_in_Nablus.asp
i post these to educate because so many people have views on a place they have never beenthey have never been.
i will end by saying isreal is a secular state so it is ok to criticise what a government does wrong without it being anti-semetic and no government is perfect i criticise isreal myself sometimes but hope that the reasons behind peoples attacks on isreal are because of what the government does and not because most of the citizens are jewish.

Some of the criticism is coming from anti-Semitic sources, of course.

But Israel has let themselves in for some very harsh criticism that they most assuredly deserve.

There are two major issues:

1) Despite rhetoric, the State of Israel has established--and continues to support by their actions and policies--settlements on the West Bank--which is occupied territory that does not and never has belonged to them. In effect, attempting to make their possession of that land permanent. That is not morally or legallly defensible--and is at this point, the only substantive obstacle to making real progress in the region.

2) Last year, the IDF went into Lebanon after Hezbollah. In that they were justified--Hezbollah had kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers. However, instead of targeting Hezbollah, the IDF pursued a scorched policy that not only failed to dislodge Hezbollah, it killed over a thousand Lebanese citizens, wrecked much of the country's infrastructure, and drove a half-million people from their homes. That is also not defensible on either moral or legal--nor military--grounds.

Yet Israel remains resistant toany real change in their policiees. Until and unless they choos to rejoin the civilized world, they deserve to be treated as what they have chosen to become--an outlaw state no better than their enemies.

That's unfortunate. I do support Israel's right to exist--and I respect the beliefs and the attitudes of the majority of the Israeli people. But that majority, just like the majority of Americans--are going to have to step up and put a stopto the excesses o four current leaders if either of us expects to regain the respect or support of the rest of the world. The American people have started that process. Hopefully the people of Israel will do so as well.

In 1949, the United Nations gave the Jews the land we now call Israel. The problem is that people already had lived there for over 2,000 years. From religious doctrine, the Jews believe that the land was given to them by God. (Old Testament).

The Palestinians feel like the Jews took their land. They believe the land is theirs due to ancient conquering by the Muslims and their occupancy for 2,000 years.

It doesn't matter who you side with, the result is that the Jews are there to stay (with help by the USA) and all the Muslim countries hate the Jews being there.

Some people are anti-Jews and would hate anything they do. Others just hate the idea that they cause Palestinians to be displaced and become second class citizens in their own country. It would be nice if they all got along, but you can kinda compare their situation to the old American "Cowboys and Indians". Who was right, who was wrong?

I doubt that the fighting will end soon, but this is the reason why Israel is attacked so often, to answer your question.

Real Jews are against Israel - Anti-Semitism was created to label everyone who goes against the New World Order and the Zionist movement!

A man thrown in a German dungeon for five years just for questioning the real number of those killed in the Holocaust.

Israel is causing many of todays problems and they have sucked our Government right into it by using their Lobbyist weight and obvious blackmail programs.

Wasn't a high ranking Israeli official found recently passed out with an s&m ball strapped in his mouth while surrounded by a dozen sex toys?

Israel is run by a group of refuge thugs who want nothing more than the destruction of every man!

The problem is the idea of Zionism that basically 2000 years go by and you and your family have lived in a particular place. Well along come Britian and USA and you get booted out put in tents. Then there were alot of wars where Israel genocided the Egyptians and just about anyone then the very guys that commit genocide get elected as the leaders. Thats the problem with Israel.

So aside from Jews, how many others get to vote in Israel?

Why do the Christians in the West Bank support Hamas?

Why do the Christians in Lebonan supprt Hizb Allah?

Israel is a Jewish State not a Secular State. A Jew from anywhere in the world can vote there but a Christian who was born there can't.
