I was thinking of applying for a loan w/ Lending Tree,does anyone have any pointers??

The best pointer I can give is - don't apply with Lending Tree.

They are just a clearing house for lenders and will shop your loan around. The results of that "may" be a loan or may not. The biggest results will be that your credit score will suffer from all of the inquiries. (and there will be many, many inquiries)

Start with your own bank or credit union. If you don't have an account with a credit union, open one.
