You set your own hours.
You set your own rules.
You make your own money - as much or as little as you want.

No Boss, Earn what your worth, and make your own schedule!!
My wife and I both have a home based business, that we do part time and make any where from $800 to $1500 a month just working part time from home. Our goal is for my wife to stay home with the children our two girls ages 3 and 16. Right now it's part time, but eventually it will be full time for the wife so she can do the business and stay home with the kids.
The company has been in business for over 27 years, does business in 64 countries around the world, did over 3 billion $ in sales sales last year just from people working from home, and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
We got started here at http://www.herbalhomebiz.com Take a look, we both do the business and it's our answer to be able to stay home with kids and earn a nice income. Our mentor earns $8,000 a month just from working at home, and she is a single mom!

Being an entrepreneur gives you the greatest advantage over anyone trying to amass wealth. Being in business for yourself gives you the opportunity to create wealth far beyond what is available to the average investor or someone working for a company hoping to climb within that company's ranks. Being in business for yourself gives you the freedom to exercise both your strengths and your weaknesses alike at your convenience. Working for yourself, you learn and, more importantly, grow in all aspects of business (marketing, management, finance, accounting, sales, supply, operations, etc.) simultaneously. My last reason, knowing you only asked for three, you're the boss.

There are many great things about working for yourself but for me to break it down into three aspects I would say:
1. Time Freedom. You set your own schedule. No punching in a clock or being on someone elses clock.
2. Great potential Tax Advantages. Just about all of your investments into your business are tax deductible as long as you itemize everything.
3. Earnings are unlimited. You make as much as you want based on your energy and how much you are willing to put into it.
I love being my own boss, and I wish you luck in your journey.

1. Setting your own hours. You can work around your childcare and extracurricular activities, and you don't feel guilty about asking for a vacation.
2. Choosing your own clients. Depending on your business, if you don't like working with someone, you don't have to work with them again.
3. The tax write-offs. There are a lot of creative ways to offset the self-employment tax. I write off all of my computer supplies, a lot of my vehicle mileage, cell phone and other utilities, "business" meals, "work trips" (vacations), and anything that remotely sounds like it could be used for my business.

The truth is time, place, and money. Time because when you work for yourself you work for yourself when you want to work for yourself. and place because you work where you want to work and finally money because you can make as much as you are willing to sell your time for and any given buyer is willing to pay. There are no restrictions on the amount of time you have the "opportunity" to work. No one is telling you overtime starts after 8 hours. You are free to work 16 hours or more....It's a real boon for workaholics.

Nap, go to the movies at 2 p.m., take the day off. Anything! There is nobody to tell me "no."
