Apply for the jobs that require experience and focus on what you do know how to do. You might also let them know that you're willing to come "hang out" for a day so they can see if you're a good fit and how quickly you pick things up.

Most receptionist positions are during business hours, which means during your school hours. Not very many offer weekends and evenings. But if you can find something that doesn't interfere with your school schedule great.

To answer phones you must have a nice phone voice, do not use slang (things like "just a sec" are no no's), and be able to multi task. You must also be able to look polished and put together at all times. Most receptionists were not receptionists prior, as it's usually (not always) an entry level position. You shouldn't have an issue getting an interview if you are well spoken and present well (i.e. dress nice).

Apply for the jobs anyway. They may say they want experience, but they will hire the best candidate.

Have someone assist you in rewording your resume so that your reception-related skillls are emphasized, for instance, customer service is a much-needed skill for a receptionist.

You can gain skills by volunteering in an office for a non-profit organization after school. Many offices are open until 5 or 6. They are always willing to take on new volunteers and train them.

Good luck

Yes sweetie it is possible because if you know someone who can help get your foot in the door go for it. You sound like a young person with a good head on your shoulders keep up the good work and stay strong.

Keep looking!

Would you consider going to a community college to learn office software? That is what employers want in a secretary. Power Point, exell, word, outlook, etc.
