The main learning styles that are used when linked to children's learning are the VAK styles

Visual - learning by watching, picture memory

Auditory - learning by listening

Kinaesthetic - learning by doing

Howard Gardner developed the theory of Multiple Intelligences, which has been a great influence on how we view the intelligence of people and their learning style strength. He started by identifying 7 but an 8th has been added which is the natural/nature one. These are the 8 Intelligences/Learning styles.
