what are the similarities and the differences between human resource management and personal management?

Human Resource Management has a broader spectrum - the subject encompasses the study of nature of human resource in terms of whole industry/ nation/ universe and in co-relation with the quality,quantity,availability and in terms of levels of skill - degrees of knowledge - amounts of training - ---- & personnel management forms part of the subject matter of HRM.

Whereas the personnel management is study of (human resource) application for a small or individual unit, say a factory an office an establishment etc in co-relavance with local laws governing the employees - employment - security - benefits etc etc apart from methods to derive the best service from the employed.

Its Personnel Management - not as you spelt.

HRM- Human resuorce management is managing the resources that u have. For example in a company, u have 10 printers & employees working in LAN. So u manage the 10 printers according to the time, memory & other factors.

personal managent- managing urself... like.. to keep up time, to dress properly, to plan ur activities.
