It depends on your companies policy. Usually it is up to 6 weeks after the baby is born.

It depends on the policy for leave at your job. Most jobs allow 6-8 weeks. I was on maternity leave for 3 months though (but I didnt get paid the whole time either).

What are your employeers FMLA policies? That well tell you how long you can be away from them. Most are 6months to 6weeks. ASk your Human rescources dept.
