Depends. If youre talking about signed artists if youre not paying for it Im pretty sure its illegal. I belong to Rhapsody which allows me to download songs on up to 3 mp3 players all the songs I want for a montly fee. No I dont own the music I rent it you could say. But with the money I save from not buying a CD I will only like a few songs from its a better bargain. And most CD's you get tired of hearing after a year. You can purchase songs and own them as well. But I prefer the mp3 thing. I have my own landscaping business and with all the new music coming out all the time only logical legal choice in my eyes. Peace out.................

that's why the main label are restructuring the contracts they sign with musicians. The labels attempt to get in on the traveling sales and different loot that comes from components different than record sales. To an quantity regardless of the indisputable fact that I consider you. the ease with which you will make music these days has led to an explosion of rubbish. all people says, "oh the best bands are not mainsream, you would be able to desire to dig", yet on each occasion I cruise around Myspace music or youtube all I hear is suck. in my view, i purchase CDs from shops. on the different hand, the record industry nonetheless sells greater albums a twelve months than they did 2 many years in the past. they had some quite good years interior the previous due 90s early 00s from which they have declined. online piracy may well be in charge for a number of that decline yet rather no longer all of it. I additionally think of record sales could desire to evaluate iTunes sales and comparable, i would be incorrect yet i do no longer think of they at present do. ------------------------ yet is it the top? music has been around for hundreds of years, record companies some many years.

If you download from iTunes, Yahoo Music Unlimited, Napster, or Walmart.Com, it's legal, because you have to pay for it before you can get it. If you download for free it's not legal.
