I am close enough to 39 weeks and at my drs appt she told me that the baby was 2/5 engaged, last time I went she said it was fully engaged. I am a bit confused why would it go up instead of down? Also she said that my cervix is softening and It measured at 41 weeks, and has warned me its going to be a big baby, what are the chances of it coming early?

Babies come when ever they feel like it. You can go any time! I know your probably tired of being pregnant but hang in there. Two of my children were 2 weeks late until they finally induced labor. Only one out of my 6 children we on time. he was born exactly on his due date. And they were all big babies. I found that bigger babies were easier to deliver. Good luck.

As a woman who has done this 3 times I will tell you ... it is about 50/50. Is this a 1st baby? If not how far did you go with previos pregnancies? I never went to far past 38 weeks with any of my 3 pregnancies. With my 1st I delivered 12 days before my due date, with my 2nd I delivered 14 days before due date and with my last I delivered 10 days before my due date.
It is up to the baby!

Nobody ever knows. Some baby's are big and come late, others come early, and others are induced. Good luck sweetie!
