Both very inspiring women.

I liked Ethel Waters' biography "His Eye is on the sparrow" It's old though, you may have trouble to find it. Both Denzel Washington and Sidney Poitier have new autobiographies out. Sidney's is "The Measure of a Man" and Denzel's is "A hand to Guide Me".
In music there is "Down the Highway: The Life of Bob Dylan" by Howard Sounes; Jim Morrison or John Lennon biographies (there are plenty) or Kurt Cobain of Nirvana.
Just pick something you are interested in. Then search you libraries biography list.

I really enjoyed Washington: The Indispensbale Man. It is an interesting look at the life of George Washington, his childhood, political and military career, love life, and his home life after the presidency. I learned a lot of interesting things about him I didn't know and that makes you think of our first president in a different light. It's great to find out that the man who led the country never wanted to be president. Very good book.
