My sister recently got a macbook. Now, she wants to use the internet. Unfortunately, she doesn't have any internet connection where she's staying (Palm Spring). She doesn't wanna use the cable or landline(dsl). Are there any other options out there?

Internet connection is the same regardless of the type of OS you are running. How you set it up is another matter, each OS uses different language and tools. Her options are satilite or dialup, if she does not want dsl or cable. However, both are slower than the others so I am unsure why she doesn't want the first options. If she wishes an wireless connection, she still needs to first hook up with an ISP via one of these options but then add a Router to the Modem, and an Adapter to the coomputer. Once things are configured properly the adapter will communicate with the router which will put her online via her ISP modem.

Good luck and have a great day!
